I don’t know every answer
Each day brings more questions
Each experience new wisdom
that redefines
wut I thought
I already knew
So I am only as sure
as I can be today
tomorrow
may show me
another way
like a child
food despised
and left uneaten
now mature in mind
not taking for granted
the nourishment needed
I sup from the cup
of life
As bitter as
oft times sweet
I vomit not
for its something to eat
lest I starve
of no wisdom
grow fat
from meaningless treats
so sedentary
in my ways
I can no longer see my feet
progress halted
my stride and my gait
would fail me
lest I exercise
my mind
To run a path
is not always to know
the destination
to describe the journey
is not always to know
where you are
but to know
where you have been
is to know
how far
you’ve come
only
for now
