aint-skeeredEvery once in a while I know yall get a lil confused because I keep it raw and real. But anybody who has been around my website for the past several years also knows that even with the 4 letter words I will never apologize for using, I probably know more and am better educated about true Bible history and not just the King James white man’s version than any pastor or Bishop you sit under. I am constantly correcting high and mighty religious people on things we have been brainwashed into believing. One recent comment I got tonight that I see on many profiles said this:

“I don’t go out and I don’t party. Most of all I FEAR GOD,not Man.”

Now that may make a lot of yall say HALLELULYER but in my time of teaching spirituality going back 26 years as a Bible and religious scholar, I simply had to correct that way of thinking with the following reply:

I don’t fear God or Man. A spirit of fear is not something God gave us. That is something that has been brainwashed into us so that we will follow whatever man says we should think about God. The spirit that God gave us is of love and power and of a sound mind. A sound mind does nor fear. God could not be God if he asked us to fear Him. But you can do whatever you want. It’s your life. It ain’t none of my business but you brought it up. That’s all I have to say about it.

I am not trying to make fun of the person who made the original statement because I used to fall for that old fearing God trick too. People want you to fear God so that when they tell you THEIR version of what God wants you to do, that you will obey. Until you realize that God can speak to you Himself and then they want to say you backsliding and going to hell for not following the rest of the religious cattle.

Don’t EVER be afraid that God can’t use you wherever you at even if you never go sit in a building and give an offering. God uses people all over this earth who don’t even know what a church pew is. All you have to do is walk in the light of love and the rest will come. I’ve seen God move in a bar and even a strip club and in my daily email messages from some of you more than the phony holiness of a Sunday morning service. But if that is what you need to feel close to God. That’s on you. But let’s not get into calling things God that are really of man’s design. ~Neo
