Don’t ask me
how I know
for to tell the story
would be to
break into pieces
once more
what is still
quite difficult
to hold
for I suppose
you would think
it unnatural
for a man
to admit knowledge
of things
so deeply
and wretched emotional
that perhaps
a man not he be
for surely
a man to reveal
things so dear
tis admittance
he be weak
perhaps
but then
how would any man
know best his strengths
if he not
discover where and how
the enemy of his fate
might wound
and take his very life
thus
how I know
I cannot yet
bare to say
only that
I knowest well
how you feel
